Abigail And Nabal

Abigail went back to Nabal, who was holding a feast.
 He was drunk, so she told him nothing of what had happened.
 But the next morning, when he was sober, she told him,
 and Nabal's heart fainted within him, and he became as stone.
 And it came to pass that about ten days later, the Lord smote Nabal and he died.
When David heard that Nabal was dead, he praised God and sent for Abigail,
 intending to marry her,
 for Saul had given David's wife Michal in marriage to Phalti, the son of Laish.

Whan Abigail heard that David wished to marry her,
 she bowed her face to the ground and said: "Let me be a handmaid to wash the feet of
the servants of my lord."
Thcn she mounted an ass, taking five young girls with her,
 and went with the messengers of David, and became his wife.
